Premarriage Questionnaire

We don’t believe any couple enters marriage not caring whether it will succeed or fail.

We do believe you want your marriage to succeed and be the best it can be, or you probably wouldn't get married.

These questions have been designed to help you find out what your relationship is really like and to learn how much you understand about what's required for marriage.

You can then work through any difficulties or conflicts your answers reveal to increase your understanding of marriage, of each other and of how you can make your relationship even better.

When you have both answered all questions, a report will be emailed to the address you have provided.

It will not identify which of you answered the questions in a particular way but it will show which answers indicate that further discussion is needed to resolve potential issues, conflict or problems that could affect the success of your marriage if not resolved before your wedding.

When you are ready to proceed, please do so ON YOUR OWN (NOT with your partner present), then please leave your partner to answer the questionnaire ON HIS/HER OWN (NOT with you present). Consider each question or statement, then click on the radio button to the right of the letter that best represents your HONEST response. We need the answer that most accurately reflects your opinion or feelings about the question or statement. It is important that you are honest! All questions must be answered – you can't proceed unless you do. The questions are in sections that relate to the six sections in our Marriage Works Manual and we strongly recommend you order your own Marriage Works Manual because it contains information that can help you build a strong, longlasting marriage. Once you have completed the questions and received your answers, you and your partner should work through it together, and through the Marriage Works Manual.

Another option that has been a huge benefit to hundreds of couples is to work with a “mentor couple.”

This is a married couple whom you respect and trust, and whom you and your partner can see have a good marriage.

This website has resources available to show your mentors how to help you and your partner get the most out of this course. If you are planning to work with a mentor couple, just give them our website address and ask them to look on our Mentors page.

If you attend a church, you could ask your Pastor/Minister/Vicar/Priest to recommend a mentor couple for you.
